Enabling Promoters and Fighters Our patents and patent applications claim methods and business models which will enable promoters to (1) challenge and accept challenges for fighters they have under contract, (2) make fights, (3) pick great fights for putting together cards from a database of made fights, (4) receive email alerts when one of their fighters is challenged or a one of their challenges is accepted, (5) access a worldwide Internet Fight Channel. Free agent pro boxers and MMA fighters (hereafter referred to as fighters) will be able to use the Internet to challenge and accept challenges, make fights, and offer their self-made fights to promoters and venues in an open market of competing bidders. Using a sortable database of fighters in his weight class, a fighter will be able to choose a specific fighter he wants to challenge, link to the fighter's website and email a challenge or send a video challenge -- all online. The challenged fighter, his fans and all promoters will receive an immediate notification, a "ChallengeAlert," by email and voice mail on his cell phone of the challenge. Fighters challenged will be able to use the same procedure to accept challenges, and send an "AcceptanceAlert." His fans and all promoters will also be notified. Fighters will use the Internet to access their website which will include a list of fighters who have challenged them. They will be able to access each challenging fighter's website which will include their record and videos of past fights. This will enable them to evaluate challenges to accept and prospective opponents to challenge. As challenges are accepted, they will be transferred to a database of made fights for sale at a fixed price or auction to venues and promoters. Fighters may elect to show their fight on an exclusive digital fight channel and share revenue (using an unprecedented transparent revenue model) from foreign and domestic advertisers and fans in different time zones subscribing to the online fight channel. |
